my interests are inherently anthropological. as an archaeologist and historian by trade, i ponder on culture. I love whimsy and contradiction especially relating to history, mythology and folklore, retro fashions, coffee, beautiful shiny things, interesting things, the macabre, mundane celebrity gossip, my dog, old movies, premium channel shows, pretty people, europe, religion, mountain ranges, tall ships and beacons of light, towering cathedrals built of lodgepole pines, vast expanses and really old New England architecture and cemeteries. this is a Shoppe of Curiosities- everyone has one, so i guess here is mine.

"That Blanchett could appear in the same Toronto Film Festival playing Elizabeth and Bob Dylan, both splendidly, is a wonder of acting."
